Global warming made the woman hotter!

Man. I was going to tell a version of that joke. And I just missed it by..... 19 hours. So close!

The screen is filled with blood because we all died from global warming like Al Gore said we did. Nice post.

Climate Change is a big scam.

Climate is, and always will be changing, but the models used to predict and report on 'climate change' always use the.most.extreme estimate, this is designed to cause fear, panic and eventually resentment in people who obviously see not change to the ice caps and actually benefit from the nice weather we've been having the last 40 years.

We focus on CO2 to increase carbon taxes and green projects, but carbon models don't account for the solar cycle, volcanic activity, methane release from the earth. They say that because we contribute as humans 0.00014ppm carbon, the planet is going to end in 12 years. What a load of crap, eh?

I remember in 1999 Al Gore said in 12 years California would be under water and all the glaciers would melt and flood the Earth. What bullshit!

I remember that too. It was also claimed that the polar bear population was at an extinction point, the actual numbers suggest polar bear population has grown around 6x that of the 90's.

They blocked oil drilling in Alaska because the polar bears were almost extinct. Bullshit, we could have had cheaper gas.

Climate changes roughly every 35-40 years. Slight changes, but they build up over time. Human activity has an impact, but a very minimal impact. Especially compared to the movement of tectonic plates on the earth's crust and continental drift. Millions of years ago, the southern half of Ireland was situated near the equator. Millions of years before that, every continent was joined up together. This affects climate and sea levels.

CO2 is toxic in high levels too (and every ppm above what it was thirty years ago is bad).

It seems likely literally every message in this thread was posted by a bot.

You are also lying about just about everything in your comment. If anything the models have been conservative, which is why scientists come out every few years saying that it's going to be worse.

All climate models predict higher than observed temperatures. It is a lie to deny this fact.

At no point did I claim high CO2 isn't toxic in high levels, or the opposite. Geologists will tell you that in the distant past, CO2 levels were vastly higher than they are now and the forests thrived. There is archaeological record of this fact. We also know that reducing CO2 too far will be detrimental to plant life, and that we are incapable of eliminating CO2 completely due to natural sources such as volcanoes and oceanic algae.

Warmer climates are not necessarily a bad thing. Higher CO2 isn't necessarily a bad thing. Taxing people for something not in our control is bad. Lying to people about the predicted models is bad.

cfact.org is obviously a fake organisation. Any more "facts"?

The infographic displays around 12 of the approximate 32 active computer models being used globally. There are a few that are similar to observations, but the media runs with the most extreme for effect. To deny this fact is rather ignorant of you.

Here's an assessment of the performance of a variety of models.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

With an accuracy rate of -28% to +30% described here, it is evident that the correlation between global temperature and CO2 have a complex relationship and that our best efforts do not provide an adequate prediction to base policy on, that has resulted in making the average family struggle to heat their home in order to pay for carbon taxes and green projects. UK energy costs have doubled in recent years, and this has little to do with the war in Ukraine or COVID, it's the crippling taxes imposed on us to meet impossible targets based on these models.

Many of us are old enough to recall when it was hotter and people, instead of bitching about it, actually enjoyed it.

They only introduced the change in reporting last year, we are now experiencing our first emergency weather broadcasts based on bullshit climate models.

The Report from Iron Mountain WAS correct: the boogie man was to be climate change OR battling with space aliens. They chose CC. All to justify a repressive system…..

In Centigrade twenty to twenty-three degrees is considered ideal. A hundred degrees F is equal to 37.77777 degrees Centigrade so there is nothing unusual about either map except the colors because, hey, it's summer. Just another indication that the media is trying to play us. It would be terrible if the TV studios burst into flame becaust of high temps.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

20-23 in some conditions can even feel a little cool, 24-26 would be an ideal summer temperature for northern Europe. None of the temperatures displayed are unusual or extreme.

(((They))) know that most people are stupid and have short term memory. But some people are becoming less stupid. And I think the smarter people are less interested in going along to get along. Remind people that there used to be temperatures in the high forties (Celsius) in Europe, and it will happen again. Remind people that continents move, which in turn affects climate and sea levels.

It's 20 degrees out right now with cloud and a 15kph breeze. Her map shows 20 as orange/red for high temperatures. I literally have to wear jeans and a shirt over my t-shirt to remain comfortable. People are wearing coats and hoodies. This weather report is bullshit.
