Aside from the issues of obvious, absolute and complete misogynistic disrespect for women represented by this insanity, here's another problem.

It's not going to help the transgenders themselves. Because they know. Unless they want to go through a mental procedure (electroshock) to wipe out their entire personal history, they know they are not what they say.

So this swimmer breaks a bunch of women's records. But in his heart, he knows that he changed sex, and that is why he's breaking the record. He will never gain the true satisfaction competitors desire. Men beat women in contests of physical power. Where's the news in that? Likely, this will lead to depression, disappointment and radical mental confusion.

He hasn't come out winning by pretending to be something that he knows he is not. His own happiness is a myth, and everyone knows it, most especially him.

A known lie, mutually agreed upon, is still a lie, and everyone involved is - at their deepest levels - affected by this. This is why these people are so prone to negative mental health outcomes.

Reality matters, and it will not go away. For everyone involved - even the person who is "getting what he wants" - we are accelerating every day faster toward terrible outcomes.
