You're talking about human beings that used to burn witches at the stake, believed in fairies, threw salt over their shoulder, knocked on wood, wear their special socks every time their team played, etc etc for as long as we've been around. Sorry but believing in misinformation isn't something that came with the internet. It's never going to change. Maybe if the media weren't a bunch of click baiting liars and actually cared about truth had some integrity people wouldn't seek alternative sources of information.
