i don't see the point of being a moderate in the mushy middle. We should focus on pushing for the extreme side, pressure the policitiancs, then they can compromise and the overton window is moved. Obama really did bad negotiating with repubs, he started in the middle then they compromised somewhere center-right such as giving us romneycare. The repubs would have preferred nothing but a plan that enriches the insurance companies was ok with them hence why trump never repealed it.

Let's pressure dems to give us universal healthcare, then the comprmise can be the public option. And it's not my job to compromise on the internet, it's just to push for the extreme. So I get why repubs on the internet went crazy pushing for far right fascism. Then they got a couple of center right policies out of trump.

It seems when you push for an extreme you get some kind of 'compromise' in the middle that is more towards what the citizens want.

yeah that's my point

People point out Bernie Sanders and him not having a lot of successful bills passed. But him pushing for extreme left things helps push dems left and get them to compromise in the middle instead of always selling out to repubs. Have to remember the rich are always bribing all politicians, dem and repub alike, to push laissez faire policies which hurt the middle class and poor.
