Which begs the question, was this the first time the elites lied to the masses about the cause of a presumed pandemic, or one in a series of manipulations?

No - because the video is itself misleading.

Outside of the fact that it's 14 mins long and edited from a longer film, how is it misleading?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Perhaps because the longer film was also a compilation of misleading clips?

This is a mix of old videos with conspiracy videos in a manner that makes them misleading and harmful. It took many years to understand HIV-AIDS, and its history. One can now easily search for the facts online (if one wants to). In answer to this question:

How do we know that HIV causes AIDS?

August 3, 2011

It's a matter of science

In 1981, the first cases of severe immune system deterioration were recognized when several young men developed unusual infections and cancer. The new disease was later named "AIDS." At that time, no one knew what was causing the disease. Since then, science has shown that the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the cause of AIDS. We know this because people who become infected with the virus can develop AIDS, and medicines that act against the virus can prevent infected people from getting sick. As HIV infection progresses, it weakens a person's ability to fight off diseases. By attacking the immune system, the virus leaves people more susceptible to other diseases. When a person with HIV develops one of several additional diseases, or when a person's immune system shows marked deterioration, as measured by a very low CD4 cell count, that person is considered to have AIDS.

Some individuals and groups say that AIDS is not caused by HIV. These claims can be really harmful. If people are led to believe that they do not need to reduce their risk of getting or spreading HIV, they could become infected or pass the virus to others. Also, if people with HIV think they do not need to get medical care or consider treatment, they could become very sick and develop AIDS.

TL;DR. I might have otherwise considered reading it but I've wasted too much time on Socks' disinfo.

Q: Why bother comment? A: To caution readers and ask them to use critical skepticism looking at Socks' comments.

The admission that you find 2 whole paragraphs too much to try to read and understand paints a pretty accurate picture of how deeply you tend to look into things.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I've looked into you and socks. I've formed an accurate assessment about you and have no need to waste any more time with you.

My statement is a

CAUTIONARY WARNING

to all the readers.

Indeed - fuck facts.

Continue to spread lies, especially because you should not have to understand what you post.

If it looks like, sounds like, and smells like MAGAturds, all is well.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (20 children)

Is everyone a science-denier and MAGAturd to you?

[–]FediNetizen 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (18 children)

Half the people on this site are science-deniers and MAGAtards, yes. Both when I was in the military and now that I'm going to school I've always been surrounded by science-minded people, and as a result I haven't run into an open young-earth creationist in about a decade. Yet they are everywhere here. The frontpage is usually dominated by a mix of conspiracies, shitty memes, and right-wing fake news.

It's not "everyone". Just "everyone" on this site.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

Ah, that's hilarious. People in the military being educated. Well, my friend, you haven't had the same experience I had. What are you even doing here, government-dog?

[–]FediNetizen 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

In the Air Force at least, the mid-level NCOs tend to have 2-year degrees. The Senior NCOs tend to move up to a Bachelors. To be any kind of Officer, you need a Bachelors, and that needs to become a Masters if you want to make Major. So with the exception of the Junior Enlisted which usually only have diplomas, they are actually fairly educated.

It is highly amusing - though not at all surprising - that you didn't know anything about the topic, but didn't let that stop you from running your mouth. About what I've come to expect from most of the tards on Saidit.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

"Tards." This is what I expect from eight graders, and folks who've spent time in the military without washing themselves clean of all that brainwashing.

Mm. The military is overwhelmingly filled with noncoms, uneducated brainwashed bumpkins, unless I am wrong concerning how many useless desk jobs there are in the States.

I'm going to school

Social justice?

I would suggest you actually spend time doing your "studies" instead of trolling forums, demonstrating your youthful inexperience.

Engineering. Come on, I said I've always been surrounded by science-minded people; that should have given you a hint. Grievance scholars only respect the science when it supports their political agenda.

[–]Velocity 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (8 children)

I've rarely met a military type that could grasp divergent or abstract thinking. Just wired different. I don't know if it's a chicken or egg thing where those types gravitate to being told what to do and think or if the military drills that mental capacity out of them.

I believe it. The social connections you make are gonna tend to be with your equals. Smart people tend to network with other smart people, and average people...

[–]Velocity 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

Thereby, you network with military minded people who have been conditioned to not question authority. Creating a confirmation bubble around yourself. I employ a fair amount of ex military design engineers...while usually they show up on time, they definitely struggle with creativity and innovation.

That's fine, we call them cogs...they don't question, they do what they're told. Good cog wheels in my business machine.

Then leave instead of bawling

Indeed - I think I can count perhaps 6 users who are mainly responsible for this trend of propaganda. It seems Saidit is one of the places where a right-wing enthusiast can spread misinformation and disinformation, get plenty of attention, and thereby feel self-affirmed. But it's also interesting to see that there are quite a few users here who occasionally let those 6 know that they're wrong. I think there would be more engagement at this site if there were more of a mix of posts. My reason for joining Saidit is mainly curiosity about the group of people who believe in right-wing conspiracies. I'd rather avoid Parler and TheDonald. Saidit seems to parrot some of that material.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

What is interesting is that a lot of users here hate Donald Trump and are mostly moderates. The main threads do seem to come from Trumpists though, but that's not always true. u/FediNetizen has made plenty of posts which generate conversation, and that dude is super-establishment.

Saidit is such an 'interesting' place

I think more of the shit you parrot. You have no power, ol' dirty socks

I'm anything but MAGA. Seems like you're misinformed again. Fuck your corporatocracy facts.

The Matrix creators love that book. Ironic that they stole the script.
