I began looking more closely when the day after the 2016 election, he held a press conference where he said: "No one is getting arrested. Hillary is my good friend, and the Clintons are wonderful people."

That was a record scratch moment. Then I looked into some of the disparaging things people were saying about him and his behaviors. Still loved his entertainment value and the effect it had on liberals, lefties, and SJWs, but the scene behind the curtain is not pretty.

I will figuratively eat my hat if Trump wasn't deliberately installed to Pied Piper the White conservative right into oblivion. Note the variations in the stories about the actual fate of the children.

Banksta's Paradise is one little glimpse, but not unique. To quote Trump himself speaking of faults that could be criticized, "there's a lot of material there".

I haven't heard that press conference but agree with you it is troubling. Perhaps though, he said that so they didn't try to instantly murder him. As far as his money stuff goes, I supposed if he is a figurehead out there he is playing that game in one way or another.
