Data about our habits and movements are constantly collected via mobile phone apps, fitness trackers, credit card logs ... But even with it off, data collected from acquaintances and even strangers can predict your location.

Then there are companies that mine all this data, collect it together, and sell the data packages to AT&T or the Department of Defense.

Then they use it for advertising, or god knows what else. And most people never even realized their data had been collected... pretty creepy if you ask me.
