I hate anti-viruses. Most of it is ad-filled trash and the ones that work well are either bought out and/or have bloatware added to them. Kaspersky was my favourite but is based in Russia, BitDefender was decent before they added all that extra trash like the VPN, Browser Safety, PC Optimization, etc etc. You can only disable so many things before you keep being incessantly reminded about them being disabled over and over again. Nowadays I just have the Windows AV because it seems to be the only one that doesn't force itself into your face all the time. They are basically designed for old people at this point where they come in like a 12-in-1 package with all these bells and whistles that aren't necessary; and is it really that surprising when a program designed to scan all of your folders is watching what you do?
