DuckDuckGo is certainly a step up from LilBro's (Google) OCD-like addiction to privacy invasion, and data-mining....but it is not everything many dream or hope it is:

There are many Google alternatives, and it is best to break up searches between three or more of these search engines. I'll concede that DuckDuckGo currently provides the best search results of these alternatives, and better than Google when the topic is something Sergey Brin (and his toadie Pichai) are eager to censor or hide.
