Mozilla including "pocket" is a step towards all computers being a thin client as windows 10 is almost already, which is to say they are computers and software that is nearly impossible to use without an internet connection that phones home outside of your control

I have proposed a new type of organization that resists state and corporate infiltration, but this will not be possible without implementing real security in public orgs, and creating a resilient public interest culture, full of institutions and public individuals who cannot be bought or infiltrated.

Those interested in this effort please contact me, and notice my work here and at voat, and at soylentnews and on twitter is being heavily suppressed, and as such it is very difficult to exist as an author. Being stalked is not fun, but everyone who stands up against these things is at risk.

But the alternative is just to admit we have no choice but to live in a totalitarian society and that all of our effforts to make computers have only imprisoned us, and that every apparent public interest organization is fake and infiltrated, like wikileaks.

fwiw saidit and voat are also sadly showing signs of if nothing else, being easily flooded and overwhelmed with shills and agents.
