Which is better: DuckDuckGo or MetaGer?

DuckDuckGo is for-profit, MetaGer is non-profit. Both have .onion sites. DuckDuckGo is based in US, MetaGer in Germany.

For me it's all about the source of the search data. If DDG is just repackaged Bing search, it's not worth much. If Bing nukes a 9/11 page, it's also nuked from DDG.

I would use the ddg onion. Metager never gives useful results. It does have that proxy service which is cool but that's its only benefit.
