Why not ban anyting that contains additives that aren't meant to be put into the lungs, like waxes and oils?

Because the state shouldn't legislate what you can and can't put in your body. It all boils down to personal responsibility.

To be fair, one should reasonably expect a major corporation to understand what the additives they use do, and act respobsibly, or pay the price. Chemistry is well understood, centuries old science. Breathing vaporized wax is bad, for example. But, marketing seems to be more important than corporations acting responsibly.
