They cast the spell on their own as well? It seems that tons of atheist secular Jews still do a whole bunch of Jew shit like observing major Jewish holidays. I think these folks consider it to be part of their race/ethnic identity/some kind of tradition. But yeah it seems to be unique to Jews, whatever this is we're discussing, a double standard. They would say non-Christians do the same with Christmas.
