Wake the fuck up.

You first. Acknowledging that you need to wake up is just the first step. Actually taking steps to do so is much harder – so hard that I've barely scratched the surface and I've been trying.

If you can bring yourself to do so, read The Codex and Predictably Wrong (note the different writing styles; you might prefer one over the other). Ignore any political opinions they might espouse; those are kept to a minimum and are completely unimportant – that's why you'll notice nobody arguing about them in the comments. The important thing is the techniques for overcoming bias and fallacies – and ultimately being able to work out what is true and what is not.

Alternatively, if you believe strongly about all of the things you're espousing, I'd like to play a little game with money involved. Inconsistent beliefs can be monetised, and I bet you won't keep your money.

If you find those too confusing, HPMOR is a very good Harry Potter fanfic that also serves as an introduction to the concepts required to understand this.
