Good. Boeing is in trouble. Its goal should be to get top talent not achieve diversity.

it should have been their goal from the start. obviously this is a ploy to get everyone to hate DEI when in reality the bosses are the ones who have been dropping the ball on safety measures.

obviously this is a ploy

How would it look different if it wasn't a ploy and they did realize their DEI program is responsible for destroying their image?

the bosses are the ones

I bet you are one of those people who always claim the bosses don't do anything and people like Elon musk are stupid and everything is done by the engineers they hired. 🤣 You guys are never consistent.

DEI is in management too. They usually hire a few token diverse people to make up for the fact that they are all mostly white men.

It's even worse than that. Once there is a diversity hire in a management position they start replacing all the qualified people with cronies.

Which explains why the Boeing parts are substandard because they use DEI cronies that don't have the merit or experience to do the job.

It's not just parts.

The reason that the 737 Max crashed, twice, was because the entire design was fucked in several ways. Those crashes could easily have been avoided if just one person in the chain spoke up and flagged the potential problem, which was obvious and could have been patched. This is indicative of a huge apathy culture within the company that comes from the good workers seeing the terrible workers destroying the company and all their hard work while getting promoted over them, along with the lazy slacker attitude of non whites which is contagious.

DEI leads to bad designs, bad software, poor work methods, bad work culture, as well as the obvious safety and quality checks becoming ineffective.

"token diverse people"

They learned their lesson on why nobody should hire lazy/dumb niggers.

i dont think unions should get away with everything, and they should periodically and systematically cleansed of the bad seeds. it would make for a better all around union. and workers would still get what they want, more money. but the job would be done effectively.

It is questionable whether DEI is the cause of Boeing's problems, but DEI should not be adopted by any company. DEI assumes that all ethnic groups and the sexes are equal, something which hasn't been scientifically proven.

[–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

That is a very superficial understanding of DEI. It completely misses the point of why it always causes harm. Even if the races and sexes were all equally capable DEI would inherently demand that less qualified people be hired because it targets positions where a competency based hiring practice lead to white male over representation and forces the employer to pick from the pool of less qualified non white male applicants. So in a free country where people choose the job they want and all the places that disproportionately hire qualified non white or male people, like sports teams and nursing, are not required to diversify; all the best non white candidates already have jobs. The pool of workers is now the best and worst white candidates and the shit non white candidates.

But instead of being allowed to hire the best white candidates they are forced to make half their work force shitty non whites. This is true even when every group is equal. DEI is not really a program that provides equality because it is never used to force companies to hire unqualified white people the way it is used to force the hiring of unqualified non white people. It is really just an anti white, anti male policy.

Incorrect. If all ethnic groups and sexes were equal, it would be reasonable that they would be proportionately represented. The problem is that all ethnic groups and sexes are equal which is why football players are mostly Black. At Boeing I'm sure that the engineering staff is disproportionately Asian.

[–]Canbot 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

What you are not understanding is that even if the races were equal in aggregate there would still be more and less qualified people in each group. If all the high quality blacks become sports stars and doctors because they prefer those fields more than whites, becoming over represented in those two groups, nothing is ever done to force them out for diversity. Then there are no high quality blacks to become engineers and managers.

But that will lead to an over representation of whites in the field of engineering and management, but DEI will be used there to force high quality whites to give up their positions to low quality blacks in the name of diversity.

DEI is never used to diversify when whites are under represented, therfore in every case that it is used it inherently forces lower quality blacks to replace higher quality whites even in a world where both races are in aggregate equally capable.

In order for DEI to not force less qualified workers into positions over more qualified 3 things would have to be true at the same time.

1: All groups are equally capable in everything. 2. DEI is employed equally everywhere. 3. No one has any freedom to choose their own job. They have to take the job they are determined to be the best fit for.

[–]Dune1032[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Because DEI assumes all ethnic groups and sexes are equal, there should be proportionate qualified applicants of all ethnic groups and sexes in all fields. Of course, DEI is a moot point since Trump will be President.

[–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

None of the issues I outlined are because DEI makes that assumption.

I literally just explained why that does not matter. The problems exist even when all groups are equal.

[–]blackvoodoowhitesnow 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

do you mind stoping talking. obviously you are not equal to me or most people. you are lesser than us all.

Somebody realizes a mistake has been made.
