They should return to the way it was done previous years and there should be at least 2 debates since the last one was with Biden.

Why?? The way it was done in previous years made the debates both completely uninformative and largely unwatchable.

With the mixed Black Asian Harris vs the fiery Trump, the debate will be a ratings success. The most important thing is that the moderators be fair. The Commission on Presidential Debates should choose the moderator as they have done previously. Returning to previous debate formats will force both candidates to accept. If Harris or Trump decline, they will have to give a reason.

The politics of this are interesting.

If Kamala agrees to a Fox News debate, Democrats will be furious - which could either translate into some of them refusing to vote or into driving more of them to the polls.

If Kamala tells Trump "We're sticking with the ABC debate, face me or run away," all Democrats will support her and all Republicans will say she's the one who ran away - but their votes don't matter because they're already locked in. So all that matters is the perception of the, you know, 2,000 or so remaining Americans who are actual Independents.

As I said, return to previous Presidential debate formats. If Harris or Trump declines, they will have to give a reason.

They have a planned debate with a planned date and format. Trump has declined it; his reason is that he's in a lawsuit against one of ABC's employees, so it wouldn't be proper, so he's going to need a whole different network and set of rules.

If Kamala calls bullshit on that, no Democrat is going to blame her, and I think most of the Independents will probably be on her side as well.

you cant have partisanship. but going on fox is basically the same thing as trump going on... everywhere else but CNN. or maybe put kamala and trump on Rogan. I hate that man (only sometimes) and his fan base (most of the time), but he is more neutral than anyone else out there now. true story brah.

fox doesnt fact check and they are horrible people. but i think kamala should do it anyway. fox news will cave inon themselves becuase they are trash. total trash. totally liars. totally overreactive imbiciles.

That would be risky since the Fox moderators could ask Harris tough questions but ask Trump easy questions. It would be better for Harris to challenge Trump to let the Commission of Presidential Debates choose the moderators and the League of Women Voters to decide the place. If Trumps declines, he will have to give a reason. Harris should also challenge Trump to at least 2 debates.
