Students are morons - absolute morons - who should not be allowed to vote at all. Well not students specifically but anyone under the age of 25 or 30. 25 should be the absolute minimum age to vote. It wasn't as bad when the students would vote anti-war but now they are all pro-WWIII so that usefulness is out the window.

Well if you want to tie voting to the population that pays taxes, I'm very open to that idea.

I don't know. An argument can be made that someone who's just taking and never giving doesn't have any authority over those he or she is taking from.

Not those in poverty. Those who just leech off of welfare and don't work. It's like living in your parents' basement and thinking you can tell them what to do.

Boomer and Silent generation politicians. This is proof positive that the deep state is shilling generational divides -- eg -- "boomers evil". Keep us more divided, daddy.

Social security is one of those fancy names for the government robbing you.

Yeah it's your money, you just aren't allowed to access it and the government is allowed to use it for you!

How is that delusional? That's literally what SS is.

I should be able to use it whenever I want. If the government controls something, it's not mine anymore. But we're such a permission-seeking society that I guess this is normal to most.

And there it is. Another leftist talking point, blaming every other generation for the failures of the latest generation.

Soon you're going to start saying we should go back to monarchy because the common people don't know what's good for them.

Maybe we should bar old people from voting because they won't be around to feel the consequences of their choices.

I agree with that too. If I was setting the rules, you'd vote at age 25 through 64. No one else gets to vote, and of those, you also have to pay some level of tax, maybe $5,000 per year. This is off the cuff, I'm not sure about that. And honestly, you should have to answer correctly 2 of 3 questions to be able to vote, simple but important questions like what are the 3 branches of government, how many states comprise the USA, and Who was one of the first 3 Presidents of the United States?
