This gets pretty crazy. Gabbard's cult was financed by Taliban purchased drugs in the 80s. Her whole family is connected to the cult- her parents, her husband, her ex husband, and even 5+ of her current DC staff. The whole cult is focused on anti-homosexuality. Her and her dad both switched parties to the democrats when it became convenient/necessary to win. She has not denounced this cult and is still a member. The cult has got numerous politicians elected in Hawaii and has outspent the competition by as much as 4x.

Lots of parallels to Obama here, and more Hawaii, freaking weird. At the very least, a decent case could be made that she's a neocon acting like a progressive. And she was literally raised in a sketchy ass cult.

Tulsi is hella cute but always seemed like a measured calculating robot from the military industrial complex.

Makes me sad though. I wanna root for someone. Jill Stein and all alternatives will be marginalized of course. Bernie's epic fail when it really counted lost me forever and profoundly failed the world.

Glad you like it man. I caught wind of a cult and had to dig in and figure out what the heck was going on. I still have no idea, but I think it's fair to say that she was born and raised in a gay hating cult that spends lots of $ to get politicians elected. And she votes with the republicans a lot of the time which is okay with me, but it's disingenuous to pitch her as a progressive.

She is hella cute and she talked about legalizing weed and called the US terrorists and all of that, music to my ears. But yeah, too good to be true. I wanna root for someone too. I wish there was a non-corporate libertarian party kicking ass but an honest progressive would do it for me. How about Ocasio-Cortez? I don't know if she's my cup of tea, but I still hope she can bring some progressivism to the democrats.

My hat is off to you for not letting Bernie off the hook. Yeah he fucked us all when he could have fucked the entire system instead. Fucked the system on live TV when millions were watching. God himself could not have given Bernie a more ideal setup, the proof of DNC corruption had leaked like 2 days before. Maybe we should animate that up, Bernie doing the right thing when it counted.

Why Libertarian? I'd certainly prefer them to the status quo but I've always had reservations. Further someone had it down to a pithy sentence what wrong with Libertarians. Something about the free markets, freedom to smoke dope, and ignorance about the dangers of central government and their foreign policies. Reminds me a lot of Marc Emery's sad tale... The Green Party isn't innocent either. Elizabeth May, the Canadian version of Jill Stein, who actually got a seat, still buys into the Climate Change propaganda.

Cortez is getting nitpicked apart, but over trivial matters so I wonder if she's actually legit, even if not my cup of anything either. Unless she's got big money she's not going to influence anyone.

My worst easily defined fear now is a Bernie repeat. PEOPLE ARE SOOOO FUCKING STUPID I'm sure it can happen again if they want it to. His rebellion (and likely inevitable assassination) would have done faaaar more good than what he did, legitimizing and bowing to the corrupt system.

How do you mean animate that up? MOAR! I can be compelled to.

Libertarian always appealed to me as a middle ground between the two parties- economically (and foreign policy) conservative and socially liberal. I don't like the extreme versions though and like our constitution, so I've been considering myself a "democratic libertarian" like how Bernie qualifies his socialism.

I guess I just want an alternative history fiction of Bernie doing the right thing. "My fellow Americans, I'm taking this opportunity to discuss the deeply troubling DNC emails which were recently leaked..." "Unfortunately due to these circumstances I cannot endorse Mrs. Clinton". "I demand a full recount of primary votes in California..."

Bernie vacationed in the Soviet Union. He expouses communist views and is probably, also a controlled opposition. He also wants to take away guns. Personally, I think there are no authentic people runnign for president, and even if there are, they become puppets to the corportocracy anyway.

Everything you said, especially the above quote. The perfect succinct way to express the shock and profound dismay of that moment. Can't understand how anyone can be behind him again after that. Can't understand why he hasn't been actively exposing, dismantling, and correcting the corrupt electoral process (esp DNC) ever since.

I like to believe in Tulsi, but after believing Obama/Bernie I have no trust left. You can't fix a corrupt system from within the corrupt system, after all. We need new systems. New systems founded on principles that benefit everyone.
