This is the right answer. Trump was dead in the water after the midterms, and they resurrected his political life. We know they actually used DNC money to support MAGA candidates in the midterms too because they thought they were weak. For all their talk of 'anyone but Trump' they'd much rather face him again than DeSantis in a general election
