This is a silly little thing, but I went ahead and made my choices anyway. I'd save the accountant--he'll get clean really fucking quick with no drugs on that ship--the accountant's pregnant wife, the clergyman, the movie star, the Muslim student, the athlete, and the kid. That's 7, so someone has room to stretch out.

Can't speak English? Then you're a burden.

Elderly can't contribute enough in their remaining life (not to mention health issues) to be worth the space.

Militant anything is right out.

Physical disability is right out. It could be something as innocuous as lost a hand in an accident, but it could be confined to a wheelchair like Hawking. Without knowing one way or the other, no dice.

The cop would have been an option, but if he's the only one carrying, then that's not on. Checks and balances!

If I were making this decision irl I'd simply ask for volunteers.

Of course, I'd have to volunteer first as well. You can't ask people to do something you yourself are unwilling to do.

If not enough people volunteer to die so that others may live. The human race isn't worth saving anyway.
