Depends. If you're just on their talkin about your day and shit and mention your Governor, no, that retarded. But if you've got a website and make money of the content you create and its mostly about politicians? Yeah, you're a journalist. Most other journalists require some sort of credentials do they not? And wouldn't you want them? That means you're a real journalist. Just like Don Lemon.

No, I don't want the state to determine who can write and speak freely. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech for all, not just those with a special license or credentials. I trust some alternative Youtubers and commentators more than so called "real journalists" . These are the sort of people politicians would love to silence, not someone who toes the line like Don Lemon.

Yeah seems like requiring any sort of license or registration to publish information is a gross violation of the spirit of the first amendment at the very least.

And yet you have to have those credentials to get into any political convention. There are still limits to Free Speech, and while I agree in spirit to the idea of unfettered Free Speech, you still can't yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater unless there's actually a fire.

Political conventions can set their own criteria for entry, I shouldn't have to file a fucking license with the state to publish my own political speech myself. That's indefensible.

This has nothing to do with yelling fire in a theater cut out that trite overdone idiotic argument. Calling speech dangerous is a cowardly tactic done by censorious types who can't win in a straight argument and so instead feel the need to cheat to win. Fuck them. They are vile censorious bugmen who will scatter under the furniture the instant any sort of light is shone on their activities much like cockroaches raiding the sugar stores in your pantry.
