If she's really about protecting consumers and free speech, I see no issue with her. As for the claims of sexism and homophobia, even if true on the part of those her oppose her nomination, it's strategically a weak position to take. Who cares? There's always going to be someone who doesn't like you for dumb reasons. I can't imagine a straight, white guy getting the post and not facing backlash for being just that, a straight, white guy, no matter his record or achievements. She's definitely better than Idjit Pie.
