On one hand, I have Seymour Hersh...

On the other hand, I have dicknipples (and of course, the Biden Administration, home of crackhead Hunter the babydaddy who will do all in his legal power to disown his own child)...

Who to believe...? Who to believe...?

Hmmm, that's a tough one...

I'm going to waste a little time here and explain for you the problem your side of this debate has.

reliable sources

Within the past couple of weeks, Hunter Biden himself has acknowledged that the laptop is and always was his. The data on it is his as well. He has shifted story (again) to say now the problem is that the data on it has been "weaponized". Well, it's his data. He wrote and received the e-mails that have been released, and he recorded (or at least saved the recordings of) the videos on that machine.

I will assume that the "reliable sources" you are talking about are the officially acceptable sources (e.g. NYT, WaPo, NPR, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc, etc), who reported in late 2020 - in no uncertain terms - that the laptop story was "Russian disinformation". They sourced their conclusion, in part, to the "50+ members of the intelligence community", thereby giving their story official sanction. In other words, "the authorities" (a synonym for "reliable sources") told us that the laptop was not associated with the Bidens; it was a foreign intelligence lie. In the current parlance, that is translated as "misinformation/disinformation/malinformation".

Let me repeat: We have now confirmed - through the lips of Hunter Biden himself - that the laptop was always his. Hmmm. Well, that means he always knew it was his. That means that his father also always knew it was his. Clearly (based on the Twitter correspondence), the people at Twitter knew the original story was bullshit.

That, my dear dicknipples, makes this a 100% lie. Knowing what that laptop was (as they all did), they said the exact opposite. They said that the truth (the laptop was Hunter Biden's) was a lie, and that the lie (the laptop was foreign-intelligence-planted disinformation) was the truth. This 100% lie was the official story, and I again draw our attention to the equivalence between "official story" and "reliable sources". They totally and knowingly LIED. There is no other conclusion; there is no sugar coating this. This is a 100% knowing and intentional LIE.

Here we are talking about a very closely related story: the Ukraine conflict. Ukraine, where Hunter Biden is in the middle of this story in a major way since 2014. Hunter Biden is a PROVEN LIAR (see above). His father is a PROVEN LIAR (see above).

You are now telling me to look at the "reliable sources" whom I have just demonstrated spread thoroughly documented lies?

This is why you are losing ground daily with the public. It's harder and harder every day for even your supporters to close their eyes to the explicit lies of your "reliable sources" (the term is gaslighting, as you very well know). As your supporters abandon you, that means you have ever more "disinformation" people against you every day, and fewer and fewer people willing to entertain your chosen narratives.

As I said at the beginning, this little note I am writing is me wasting my time on you; you have chosen your side, and you appear to want to go down with the ship. Why I don't know, but I've never been drawn to the drama of the power-addicted corridors of our capital, so I suppose I will never understand. Instead, I continue to be here in the backwater of Saidit (which is a strange place, with - I will agree completely - about 95% of its content now mind-numbing inaninity) and watch this shitshow play out.

But for the game you have played for the past 8 years of "reliable sources", I give you my simple answer:

No.

That, my dear dicknipples, makes this a 100% lie.

File that under things I never thought I would read aloud in my head.

as an aside: I always appreciate when someone takes time to explain their understanding of a topic. It is refreshing, and so much more effective than a one line sarcastic comments that accomplishes nothing.

I hope you don't normally talk to people like this. (What a dick.)

How lucky the world is that you would be willing to waste your precious time on complete idiots like me. How can we ever thank you, who knows so much more than we do, not because you can back anything up with facts, but because you can write cognitive dissonance word salads like this.

Regarding your extremely generous (patronizing rambling), you still have no factual evidence, or logical motive, or reasonable explanation about the potential that US sabotaged the Nord Stream lines. Nothing. The laptop is of course unrelated.

Wake up and smell the GOP fraud, rather than simp for them with these incredibly dumb, unfounded claims. They're obviously distracting you from their intentions to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. As we know, that proposal has been on Biden's desk. The GOP have proven over and over again that they care nothing for honesty, integrity, facts, honor, governing, or the 99%. And here you blather on about a lot of unrelated nonsense, while admitting that you toss your pearls at swine. Keep clutching those pearls, snowflake. You'll need them when you are unable to use your Social Security, Medicare and Medicade (which YOU paid for 100%), because those budgets were slashed while you were SHOCKED about an unfounded, illogical claim that the US sabotaged the Nord Stream lines.

Pay attantion.

Like everyone, how I talk to people differs depending upon the person I'm talking to.

Your predictable defense of a group of people who are now manifestly lying (those surrounding the Biden family) - and obviously so, comparing their own words at different times - brings out the response you have read from me. With others, I don't respond this way. There is a long history of mine on this site. People can form their own conclusions if they feel the desire to do so.

One place you and I may agree:

idiots like me

Absolutely. You and I are both idiots. We are all idiots, both here on this website and in the general population. It is our insane human delusion to be able to "change the world" which keeps motivating us all to heights of idiocy. Our vanity gets the better of us 99% of the time. This is a majority of the foundation for our shared humanity.

My disgust with the Bidens has little to do with the GOP. While in this instance I happen to agree with them, this does not translate into me supporting the Republican opposition, or that of Trump. The GOP is no better than the Democrats, looking at their history honestly. Do not think I am complimenting the GOP or working toward elevating them or their goals. In fact, I am a member of that growing club - the disaffected former Democrats. Yes, I was a Democrat and voted for Obama in 2008. By May 2009, never again.

My particular loathing for the Bidens and their administration comes strictly from the obvious gaslighting I witness coming - specifically from them - absolutely constantly. I remember the first debate between Trump and Biden in 2020. Specifically, I was watching Joe Biden not with any policy in mind. I simply watched his mental state. Joe Biden is mentally incompetent. It makes no difference to me whether the GOP agrees or not. I witnessed - through my own judgment and discernment directly - a cognitively damaged individual struggling to hold his train of thought. I see this in older family members within my own family. This particular instance (Joe's dementia) does not have a moral judgment attached. It's sad when cognitive failure happens to anyone, same with Joe Biden as with anyone else. I would also not vote for those suffering cognitive decline within my family - with whom I agree politically - for political office. This isn't politics; it's sanity. Cognitively impaired people are literal puppets, figureheads. It's the most dangerous form of government, because the people actually wielding power are hidden in the background. I repeat, my judgment is not based on your enemies (the GOP) having told me this. I judge it for myself; I trust myself to be able to watch a man not be able to complete coherent thoughts and say, "This is a problem." When your "reliable sources" do not comment on this, it gives me a pretty good clue as to how seriously I should take their objectivity.

You are a loyal supporter of the Biden administration. You and I each now know where the other stands. I hope in the future to be able to control myself and avoid responding to your comments. There really is no value in conversations such as this.

But once again, we are all idiots. God will sort it out in the end.

We can argue about politicians, or indeed the politics of hatred for one politican or another, but the main concern we and Saidit can share is: how do we speak truth to power (“Justice, justice shall you seek” in Deuteronomy 16:20.).

You don't know me or what I support. I also don't know you. Obviously, problems in politics aren't confined to the president, never have been.

What's significant: what do we want our public servants to do? Govern for the 99%

Here are Dem attempts to govern vs. GOP attempts to fuck up and glean from the 99%, using one state as an example:

https://housedemocrats.wa.gov/11-facts-everyone-should-know-what-democrats-have-done-versus-what-republicans-want-to-do/#k12edu :

Boosting Child Care Funding…Not Cutting It!

Democrats passed the Fair Start for Kids Act, a new law that boosts pay for child care providers and makes child care more affordable for Washington families.
Democrats also passed budgets that invest heavily in child care, expanding access to our state’s pre-k program, increasing subsidies, and reducing family copays.
Republicans proposed cutting the funding source for Fair Start for Kids, reducing available funds in the budget that go directly to making child care more accessible and affordable.

Investing MORE In Your Kids’ Schools, Not Defunding Education

As schools and students struggle with the fallout of the pandemic, Republicans proposed legislation that would DEFUND SCHOOLS by diverting your taxpayer dollars from public to private schools.
Democrats oppose Republican proposals to defund schools and instead INCREASED funding for teacher pay, inflation-related costs, school transportation, and adding counselors, psychologists, and social workers in our public schools across the state.
Republicans also introduced legislation that repeals the Estate Tax (HB 1245) which would cut funding sources for K-12 and higher education funding while providing a huge tax break to the wealthiest families in the state.

Bringing Down Costs For Washington Families

Global and national inflation trends continue to impact Washington families, so Democrats passed new laws lowering the cost of health care, college education and worker retraining, and basic needs for those who are struggling the most.
Democrats also proposed a sweeping reduction in the state Business & Occupation taxes, significantly lowering or reducing taxes for small businesses in the state, while reducing unemployment insurance premiums and providing grants to the hospitality sector, which was one of the hardest hit during the pandemic.

Protecting The Right To Abortion In Washington State

Democrats in Washington have voted to expand abortion care and protect this crucial right, never more important now that the Supreme Court may be preparing to overturn Roe.
Republicans have introduced multiple bills that would severely limit or ban abortions in Washington state despite voter support for abortion care.

Giving Police The Appropriate Tools And Holding Them Accountable

Voters passed Initiative 940 in 2018 to require a good faith test for when deadly force is justifiable and require de-escalation and mental health training. The Legislature has strengthened those laws to build a public safety system with accountability, transparency, and equal justice. Since our landmark package of police reform legislation was signed a year ago, police killings have been reduced by 60 percent.
After hearing from communities, law enforcement, prosecutors, and advocates, Democrats passed additional measures to ensure that the right balance would result in keeping communities safe and maintaining important expectations for law enforcement.
Republicans proposed rolling back reforms that have contributed to the reduction of police violence, and even proposed a law that would require drivers to learn how to not be shot by a police officer, putting the responsibility of not getting shot on teen drivers.

Getting to the Root of Substance Use in Our Communities

A recent Supreme Court decision (Blake) invalidated Washington’s statute that made drug possession a felony, leading Democrats to pass a new standard that allows law enforcement and behavioral health staff to offer treatment to people with substance use disorder without assuming the intent of someone with drugs.
Democrats also passed policies and budgets to increase treatment options and availability for people struggling with drugs or alcohol so that they can get better.
Republicans introduced legislation that would roll our state back and create a confusing, patchwork of varying penalties and violations for drug possession depending on what city or county you were in.

Facing And Addressing Climate Change

Democrats continue to fight for a clean energy future through new policies that will lower greenhouse gas emissions and make sure Washington is a beautiful place to live and work.
We’re changing how we invest in our transportation sector as well, passing Move Ahead WA to invest in new infrastructure that reduces carbon emissions and expands access to transit.
Republicans opposed these efforts, voting no across the board against these Democratic bills to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, clean up our energy grid, and improve transit options and access in our transportation package.

In Pursuit Of Racial Equity And Justice

Democrats passed new laws to address equity needs for families, including expanding language access for parents and students in public schools and expanded access to internet service and devices for underserved communities (HB 1153 and HB 1723).
Democrats also increased focus on children, passing a new law to expand doula access and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) diaper subsidy (HB 1881 and SB 5838).
Republicans introduced bills with similar policy outcomes from conservative states that would have the negative effect of not giving teachers training on how to recognize and avoid racism. (HB 1807, 1886)

Changing How We Help Expand Housing And Combat Homelessness

Democrats championed historic investments and pandemic protection policies that successfully prevented the “eviction tsunami” that economists and the media predicted. These efforts include establishing our state’s first permanent funding source for rental assistance.
Democrats continue to invest in affordable housing and shelter construction to help families looking for a safe place to live and ensure people struggling with mental health challenges or substance use disorder have a place to go when discharged from a hospital.
When a Democratic leader offered a solution to addressing homelessness in 2016, a Republican leader classified homelessness as “her emergency.”
Democrats voted to pay landlords back rent owed by tenants struggling under the economic impacts of COVID-19, as well as food, utility, and mortgage assistance for millions of Washington families.

Preparing For Washington’s Transportation Needs: Move Ahead WA

Democrats passed a transformational new transportation package called Move Ahead WA that is the result of over 90 listening sessions across the state to hear YOUR transportation priorities.
It focuses on the concerns heard from communities in Washington and the need to put the people of WA first.
Republicans opposed the plan, instead offering bills that would have taken money from the budget used to fund K-12 Education, colleges, parks, child care, and more.

Strengthening Communities by Aiding Families and Small Businesses

Democrats invested in communities by aiding families, small businesses, and local institutions to help everyone move out of the pandemic together.
With billions invested in ensuring families had the safety net, rental relief, utility assistance, and access to food programs, and hundreds of millions granted to small businesses and art institutions, Democrats have prioritized smart, targeted investments to help communities recover.
Democrats also passed a massive tax credit for small businesses, meaning most won’t pay the business & occupation tax.
