The Killed vs Wounded figures for Russia are not compatible with similar stats from other conflicts post WWII. The wounded number should be something in the range of X6 to X10 of the killed number (unless little or no medical treatment is available for wounded). The numbers here—18,000 dead and 44,000 wounded—just do not correlate with real stats. This would usually indicate that the numbers have been fiddled. The various intel agencies that have reported these numbers must know this—so assuming both sides are lying—why did they not make the numbers more realistic? I am baffled.
