The political system has been reduced to that of a third-world tinhorn regime, and the economy is following the Venezuela model. Seriously, I expect the government to start nationalizing the industries that they've caused to crater soon enough.

Even if 2024 defied all expectations, and every single cancerous tumor in the rectum of humanity was swept out of office, it wouldn't be enough. A concerted effort could not save this country, or the world for that matter.

Furthermore, I don't think any of it deserves to be saved. The only way this goes is for civilization to collapse, and the wheat to be separated from the chaff. Every skeezy asshole, politician, banker, and all their useful idiots, will quite simply die off.
