When the culture of a governing party is to take wealth from their enemies and give it to their supporters, what kind of people do you expect to live there? Those who have the ethic to create wealth are going to get the hell out of town, and the people left behind are going to be just those who believe the world owes them something because they check some "disadvantaged" box on a form. People like that will steal and kill readily because it's the culture they've been surrounded by all their lives. What else do they know?
