What the fuck is happening to you guys? 3 years ago authoritarianism was your biggest enemy, and now you're rooting for it too? What is wrong with everyone? God help us.

Age-gating isn't authoritarian, you think kids should smoke and drink? Hit up the strip clubs?

People are being exploited by an industry that preys on their insecurities and only offers empty promises, age-gating access to it until people have fully matured is the responsible thing to do.

It'd be authoritarian to ban it outright, but I believe adults should be able to make their own decisions about how they live their own life.

But hardly anyone is an adult by these standards. If we go up to 26, soon it'll be 30, then 35, then 45, then we'll just go back to "peasants aren't mature enough to make their own decisions".

Slippery slope fallacy. The prefrontal cortex is fully developed by 25, there's no reason why we'd redefine adulthood beyond prefrontal cortex maturation.

Also, it's interesting to note that puberty blockers halt the maturation of the prefrontal cortex but is used primarily as a way for the victim of gender ideology to circumvent age restricted "treatments," despite them not truly coming of age due to the effects of the puberty blockers.

Then we're going to find something that peoples' brains are only 99% developed before age 30, then 35, then 40, then 50, then the elites will decide they should just take over and run our lives because they're smarter than everyone else.
