It is dead in the Senate so it is just virtue signaling. The Republicans always act big and bad when they only control part of the government, because they know it won't go anywhere. If they control both houses of Congress, they are as meek as church mice.

It's because their role in the government is to pretend as if the liberals have any kind of opposition.
