Just let me know when the real threat arrives: nanoaggressions.

That Popeyes is always going to be out of chicken based on its inner city location.

Nobody emailed me, it doesn't work.

AKA pre-packaged training data fed to baby's first python neural net and then just iteratively fed new posts through social media APIs. A day or two of work at most followed by doing nothing for months apart from some handwaving and big words at the weekly progress meetings.

Microaggressions are insignificant, the name says it all.

Microaggressions demand microsolutions.

Thats fucking frightening, where the fuck is the ACLU when you need them?

That's a compromised institution at this point, we need an ACLU reboot.

Drug use and crime is rampant in the inner cities and black owned business as well as just the residents are at risk of murder and death.

I know let's stop people on the internet from asking where someone is "really from".

Once again catering to the butthurt and sensitive as opposed to helping people get over it. Maybe they'll come up with an AI counselor for those who are hurt by microaggressions.

The proper nomencalture is butthurt.

In other words...censorship.

money towards censorship and oppression

All such tech is a con. Lots of confidence tricksters in woke tech.

If this was a con you wouldn't have Amazon Alexa and ChatGPT, these machine learning algorithms are quite adept with natural language. I've worked with and programmed these kind of A.I. and this implemenation would be exponentially more rudimentary than a conversational A.I. as it is a simple classification problem. If you want to call a certain kind of speech a 'micro-aggression', and train the algorithm with thousands of labeled examples of what is and isn't a 'micro-aggression', it will become quite reliable at identifying whether or not a given text contains an example of a micro-aggression, and sort through thousands of samples per second. The most intensive part of doing this going to be labeling all the thousands of training samples of 'microaggression' and 'not microaggression'

The fact they don't even say what they consider to be a microaggression shows this is a con. Otherwise, they would give examples rather than the reporter having to get them from another source. Also claiming they can track implicit bias which is well known to be snake oil.

The fact they don't even say what they consider to be a microaggression shows this is a con.

Because it's whatever they want it to be, its whatever they want to label as unacceptable and train the A.I. to recognize, and the optics of actually describing this can easily be made to look dystopian, while they can just remain ambiguously woke by omitting the specifics.

You clearly don't have much knowledge about how this technology works, what they are describing here is absolutely trivial compared to technology that already exists and is used to target consumers with advertisements, chat, diagnose diseases from labs and scans, or the myriad other ways this technology is already being used.
