Nothing changed. No one really cared....ever. Marriage is a civil union, like incorporation, it means very little, but has legal and tax implications. People just don't want it abused on a whim or for fraud. They also may not like its appropriation of their religious traditions. No one cares what people do as long it is isn't shoved in their face; never did. Yet, don't flinch while we shove our kink in your face, otherwise you are intolerant, seems to be the litmus test exhibitionist use anymore.

Heterosexuals were the ones who shoved their own perversions in our faces at every turn while accusing Gays of doing the same just for wanting to be acknowledged at all even in a non-pornographic context.

Not good enough. Gay marriage needs to become the only game in town. Not only that, any nation that refuses to recognize Gay marriage has declared war against Gays and will be retaliated against militarily. This is the same reason I support Israel.

I mean, honestly... a lot of the gay culture that I'm casually familiar with tends to normalize hook-ups, casual sex, partying, and hedonism. Stable, long-term relationships exist, of course, but they're not as common as one might think. Frankly, a lot of same-sex relationships fall apart after a few months. Or, there's not much interest in a relationship to begin with.

The rates of alcohol use, depression, and loneliness for gay women tend to be pretty high, and the rates of recreational drug use in gay men tend to be relatively high, too. The entire hook-up-and-orgy culture that some men participate in helps spread dangerous disease like wildfire through that community. If a straight person behaved that way, we'd be allowed to worry about them, but don't dare criticize this stuff if it's gay or lesbian.

The overall health of that community is poor. Mental health, sexual behavior, it's not good. And these are folks living in gay Meccas like San Fransisco or on Cape Cod, and they're still struggling with loneliness and issues. After a while, blaming the rest of society / disapproval won't help or make sense.
