No, I read that, it's just devoid of relevant information.

Taibi is assuming that special favours were given to the left but if he really had found that in the documents, he would have shared that.

Instead he's showing employee donations out of their salary.

that Twitter donates nearly 100% to Democrats and gives them special attention.

    No - you're wrong.

Look at the block of disclaimer text which Taibi cut off in his screenshot

    https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/twitter/summary?id=D000067113

    It says

NOTE: Organizations themselves cannot contribute to candidates and party committees

Twitter is not giving money, those are employee who donate out of their salary.

The amount is 900k per year to dems.

That's roughly NINE high wealth employees maxing out their contribution. Or of courses it could be more than nine twitter employees giving less then their maximum. By the way - your front line trust and safety folks at twitter are on less than 50k per year and are unlikely to be donating much if anything. I know at my work, if you're not middle-managerial then you cannot participate in the pac.

Taibi and you are assuming without any evidence whatsoever

    1. That this is a relevant chunk of twitter corp.

    2. That this includes trust and safety decision makers.

    3. That their choice in political donations affected their work.

    4. That this has any bearing whatsoever on Biden and trump's backchannels.

I don't think you replied to me thinking that this was some silver bullet. I don't think you believed that 1-4 are totally true. I just think you're a troll. So stop trolling, troll

    Again - an exceptional assessment

Why do you think Taibi trimmed his screenshot to hide that fact from you, if it doesn't change anything?

And how are you accounting for these four things?

      1. That this is a relevant chunk of twitter corp's headcount.

      2. That this includes any trust and safety decision makers.

      3. That their choice in political donations affected their work or decision making.

      4. That this has any bearing whatsoever on Biden and trump's backchannels, or any of the same staff were involved

You're the one missing the fact that no one wants misinformation and disinformation spread about associates and will of course try to stop that spread. What we might learn about that information in the future doesn't change the fact that lies about that information in the past should have been challenged at that time, to keep them from spreading. It's that simple.

Who decides what's misinformation or disinformation? The state? That's worked out great in the past.

But I'm sure daddy state will look after you and always have your best interests at heart because you are so special.

      Déjà vu?: https://saidit.net/s/censorship/comments/a2l5/it_was_a_mistake_extwitter_safety_chief_finally/10ec3?context=3

Short answer: lawyers, guns and money

Longer answer: those who can revolt against the tyranny of coordinated misinformation campaigns by special interests (think of the number of new far right misinformation websites and 10s of thousands of misinformaiton campaign posts online at Twitter and elsewhere, many of which must be deleted daily or social media will be innundated with thiem. There is much more funding for far right misinformation campaigns in recent years. Think also of the aggressive misinformation campaigns of UKIP and Torries for Brexit, and how that has absolutely FUCKED the UK, along with the privatisation of some of the world's best national services, which are now also fucked. Individuals should protest against lies, misinformaiton, disinformation and other campaigns by the 1% that are fucking over the 99%. Protests on social media sometimes work, as well as electing officials who will actually represent the 99% and thereby help with calls to reduce misinformation that is not protected by free speech laws. Most misinformation is protected, but defamation is normally not protected. In the UK, however, some have gone to jail for making racist comments, but that's life in the nanny state, sadly.)
