Part of what has me shaking my head in disbelief over this Twitter mess is how willfully blind people are. They're crying about Musk controlling the flow of information through the site, as if they didn't spend the last few years cheering and approving when the previous operators did exactly the same thing--such as by removing Trump, for example--but only to the information that they didn't like.

It's consistently amazing to me how often nobody seems to realize (or care, maybe, I'm not sure which is the more worrisome possibility) that every play they use will, eventually, be used by their opposition. Back when Bush #2 was running for office, there was a minor shitstorm over his National Guard service, with people trying to puff it up into something that would affect his ability to run for office.

Well, here comes Obama and (surprise, surprise) people try to use his birth and citizenship status as something that would affect his ability to run for office! It was the National Guard thing, but repackaged from the other side for a different person.

Oh well, fuck it, just more shrieking from the asylum.
