I liked Trump, voted for him, and think he did a great job compared to all other recent presidents. But he wasn't GEOTUS. He showed how easy it is to fix a lot of problems politicians prefer not to fix so they can keep getting elected (or possibly they are just too dumb as shit to know how to fix). But he was too much about himself, which is why I doubt he would do this but if he did it could be the one thing to sway people to his side.
And that is to go to the Jan 6 committee, say something like "All I wanted to do was make America better for the people who live here. Make people's lives prosperous. But the elite hated me, you hated me. Both Democrats and Republicans hated me, and put all their money, power and energy to oppose me. You came after me with the entire power of the federal government. Went after me, my family, local, state, federal investigations, and you won't stop until you win. So, you win. I will not run for President in 2024 or ever again. Congratulations, you have all kept your power at the expense of the American people, because I can no longer withstand the millions of resources at your disposal, and I have to, for my family, release them from this oppression."
The 42% dedicated, Trump warriors, would be super pissed and angry, and likely 100% of them would go vote in November to purge the evil from government. A few percent of Democrats might think, yay! we got rid of evil orange man, America is saved. And perhaps 2 or 3 percent might just stay home and not vote in November. A few percent of the ones who I guess pushed Biden over the top might just say, you know that man is right, I didn't like him but he didn't really do anything bad, this was just a witch hunt.
Like Obi Wan Kenobi, perhaps letting yourself fall will generate new more powerful forces for good.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
