The energy dependency is engineered to create another way for the (((rulers))) to put the squeeze on the people. There is no reason for Europe to have never done anything to secure it's energy needs despite the huge risk that created. This problem had been known for over 50 years now. Nuclear exists. Strategic reserves are easy to build.

This can't be explained with simple stupidity.

You are right.

Having no country self reliant but all depending upon each other was seen as critical to world peace by many eurocrats. This is why they have worked continuously to weaken countries who join the EU and encourage leaders to make deals as a block rather than for each country's particular needs.

This all stems from the fear of there being another world war starting in Europe going back to the 1940s. Which is funny because no one has ever properly dealt with the actual cause of the first 2 which is now trying to run the whole continent for its own benefit.

Nuclear is the real headscratcher. We've got near unlimited clean energy with crazy abundant fuel but we can't use it to it's full potential because of hippies that can't tell the difference between a reactor and a bomb and who think that radiation is some kind of scary Boogeyman death demon yet have no qualms sitting out in the sun bathing in the shit.

Nukes have real concerns but the benefits are just so great and the downsides are so miniscule in comparison.

I think the hippies are a distraction. The people in power don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. Sure as shit not some hippies.

The people in power get scared in Howard Hughes type ways of tiny threats they can't control because they have no real problems. Just look at how they reacted to covid.

Cooperation usually goes further than confrontation.

I know that this is quite "counter-intuitive" for people growing up in societies that literally live from people comparing themselves 24/7 in every aspect of their lives (no matter how irrelevant).

It takes some real effort to grasp this statement. Which - above the cognitive dissonance itself - is hard to actually implement when literally all your peers around you live by the opposite each and every day.
