The Ukrainian actor fella is wearing his 3rd-world revolutionary costume.

His sleeves are rolled up, because he's a hard worker.

Waah they're taunting the ruzzia by trying to be western

Waah they're apologising for the American empire but not the ruzzian one

Waah

What a baby. Give me a break. Ukraine and Bulgaria and the Baltics and every nation in the world gets to decide which international bodies they want to join.

The ruZ does not "deserve" a sphere of influence where they can rape and pillage without consequence

It's not a "god given right" of the ruZ to keep their neighbours out of NATO.

Keep crying, babies. The countdown is on for Bilhorod and Smolensk back in western hands

Remember that one time Russia put missile bases in Cuba, which wasn't any of the US business, and we were totally cool with it

Yeah an event from the height of the cold war 60 years ago is really relevant today.

So what about if the USA from 60 years ago, makes a deal with the ruZ from today. Starting from 60 years ago, USA will ignore and stop interfering with Cuba, and in return ruZ today will ignore and stop interfering with their neighbours today. That sounds fair right

Edit - sorry I wrote that in a rush. In addition. This is whataboutism, because you can't excuse crimes today by saying bad things happened 60 years ago. Furthermore, nobody is saying America was correct to pressure Cuba in that way, and if you're here criticising America from 60 years ago for behaviour we see today, then I assume you'll join me in condemning the current crimes

I agree completely! You can't launch an invasion just because your neighbor might join a defensive alliance! The response is completely disproportionate.

It's just a smokescreen anyway.

Putin doesn't care about his neighbours joining NATO, witness his uncaring response to Sweden and Finland.

It's more about his spoiled baby belief that Ukraine, Belarus, Baltics etc ought to belong to the ruzzia, and his planned legacy as Putin the Great

"unprovoked invasion"... "baseless election lies"..."efforts to overturn the election"..."insurrectionists"

Our media propaganda arm really only has about three over-used tricks and forced repetitive tagging like this seems to be number two, which leads into number three, the gaslighting with projected motivations and forgone conclusions. (number 1 is simply the gish-gallop of yellow journalism, ie a water hose of empty accusational spins)

Let’s see how long Europe will care about Ukraine after rent and electricity go up.

The people will not care about Ukraine anymore however the people in the government have different priorities in mind. It'll be quite interesting to see.

The experiment with electricity started long ago in certain Europoor countries and so far it has gone well for the politicians.

The broad support of Putins invasion among conservatives is deeply disgusting.

The broad support of Putins invasion among conservatives is deeply disgusting.

I'm confused, are you referring to the author of this piece? You might be reassured to learn she describes herself as an anarchist and communist. It tickles my funnybone when conservatives like chipit post her articles.

Also, I don't think the author intends to be 'supportive' of Putin's invasion, but critical of our involvement in escalating the Ukraine/Russia situation into an armed conflict and doing everything in our power to prevent a peaceful resolution.
