To summarize Brinton's (the staffer) argument, it is a terrible thing to shut down the prostitution website because LGBTQ youth can no longer make money in the sex trade to be independent from their abusive families.

The sickness of this argument is mind-blowing. He believes that the solution to the abuse these children received in their homes is to make a profession out of being exploited sexually. He believes that not to allow them to continue on the path of sexual exploitation (the very definition of prostitution) is the tragedy.

This logic is fucked up beyond belief, and this is the people making our social policy. THIS is the dominant reason for the insanity we are living through as a society. In these people's minds, the solution to abuse is to allow the abused to go make a career out of being abused.

A few points.

Firstly, this is infowars, so I'd be remiss not to recommend the excellent podcast "knowledge fight", who provide a sort of infowars "aftershow", breaking down the lies and inventions of that bullshitter. The podcast is on its ~700th episode, so lots of content if you enjoy it. Knowledgefight.com or get it from Spotify or wherever

Second point - this guy is, according to the article, "Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition" - infowars always call people the TOP whatever, which is hilarious to me.

Finally, what we have here is a 7 year old op-ed, complaining that young LGBT sex workers were safely finding gigs thru a website that got seized. You will find conservative trump voters in Nevada arguing the exact same points regarding safe sex work. It's just funny to me how infowars will really scrape the barrel for content for their hate rag. "Top Biden official" lmao.
