Speaking from personal experiences, yeah, the CIA doesn't do shit inside this country on social media. Outside of some boring public outreach shit like any other government agency, or big company.

Ever hear of Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube? The DARPA/CIA/military shits are all over that place. Most of it involves spreading geopolitical disinformation to Americans and regurgitates MSM. You can get banned or censored for providing too much proof for US operations like I and many others got banned for.

CIA contracting out their work doesn't absolve them of responsibility as it's still CIA work. Also, Snowden and wikileaks seems to disagree with you.
