In the UK around 50% of pregnancies are unplanned, the idea every mistake will be aborted it pure nonsense.

My mother's doctor threatened to abort me an I literally don't give a shit about it.

If it had happened it's not like I would have been upset about it.

My mum had a miscarriage before me.

If that child had lived I would never have been born.

They might have grown up and cured cancer or something.

And no one would be saying "it's a real shame you didn't have a kid with that other egg a few months later, don't you think about what they might have been like?"

Such is life.
