You answered the propaganda wrong. Please report to your nearest reducation camp.

Is this a real thing?! If so, what is it? "Concept resources" is just "Propaganda resources". I'd probably refuse to even fill in such a questionnaire.

McGraw-Hill was owned by Ghislane Maxwell's father, a Mossad agent

[–]noice 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Makes sense. Got links handy? I was just talking to someone about McGraw-Hill being a reason why Americans are so stupid on a lot of subjects (incl. history)

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

It used to be in wikipedia, but not anymore. It's public information though. I think he owned it during the 90s

Seems your cursor was on 'Read about the Concept', which will tell you that - though Big Tech is a problem - it's motivated by consumer interests and thus tries to behave, at least in such a way that the consumer seems to think about them. If they don't behave, consumers can sometimes choose alternative options.

The correct answer is indeed hate speech, as it's the major problem for groups/entities that try to offer internet free speech rights. Just ask /u/magnora7, who said as much almost 2 years ago.

Does Hate Speech have a marketing campaign like Big Tech?

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

Absolutely.

It's an essential tool of right-wing misinformation campaigns (which are also part of BigTech's bread and butter; spreading hatred is lucrative, as we know when looking at the many new right-wing/authoritarian misinformation websites in the past 5 years [eg. parler.com, communities.win and other bigot websites]. d3rr has also quipped that Tump killed Saidit, because the pro-Trump subs banned from Reddit [for hate speech] made their own pro-Trump websites, sucking users from those subs and alternative sites like Saidit. There are left-wing websites that can be misleading, but they seem to be focused only on human rights, animal rights, saving whales, climate change, freeing political prisoners, rape counseling, Amn[e]sty International, UN Council on Peace and Social Concerns, and all of those helpful approaches that address other forms of hatred, hate speech and abuses of innocent people).

Amnasty International

Heh.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

Well fuck - I've been contaminated by pro-authoritarian websites. Now corrected, and I now recall a comment by d3rr, which I've now added.

[–]jet199 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Should be called Am Nasty. They've had multiple suicides due to bullying within the org and have sold women down the river to get money from arab dictators.

Hate speech is the answer, not the problem.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

To what?

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

Subversive and degenerate elements weakening our nations.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

But those are the ones promoting hatred (so that the 1% can divide the 99%).

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

I think we define "subversive" differently. To you, it's 4 guys in white robes in Arkansas who've completely captured NPR's imagination. To me, it's black people, suburban teachers, nurses, etc.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

facts ≠ opinions

It's a fact that BigCorp and wealthy groups are paying for the propaganda of hatred, to get people like us to argue over facts and opinions. Those are the people in control, not blacks, and certainly not teachers and nurses. AND WTF is wrong with people who see teachers and nurses as enemies?!?!?! Really fucked up. Where are you reading about that? What are the websites? No one ever said anything like that 5 years ago and earlier. It's part of the propaganda by the 1%. Not my opinion. Read all about it. Look at the owners of your favorite websites. They're not looking after you. They've killed the American dream. The 99% built that American dream.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

This is incoherent to me. What are you advocating? We need hate speech bans to control the 1%? You're basically giving the 1% power to control speech if you do that. Jennifer Pritzker, Martine Rothblatt, Soros, etc.- a hate speech ban isn't going the rein these people in. They made their fortunes manipulating minds and languages. They hide behind hate speech bans.

"Jennifer Pritzker is a hideous man in a dress who ought to be beaten."

"Martine Rothblatt is a creepy child molester who wants to depopulate the planet."

"Klaus Schwab is a traitor who should be executed."

Those are examples of NECESSARY hate speech.

This material obsession with the "1%" is your generation's mental tic, though. I don't give a flip how much money Martine Rothblatt has. That kind of shit really makes anyone over 40 just tune you out. You need to get off TikTok. You are a generation of assistant managers at Terminix flashing $100 bills. It's vulgar, and it's your problem not mine.

I don't want a yacht or a jet anyway. I just think Martine should be excoriated and even beaten, because that's what a thriving society does to fuckers like that. He's a weed in our garden.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

If you remove those three names - because they're relatively unimportant - there are numerous millionaires funding the propaganda dividing the 99%, by telling them that teachers and nurses are ruining their lives. The same propaganda suggests that you focus on 3 individuals, rather than the crooks paying for the propaganda, dividing the 99%.

Thanks for the info.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I honestly don't think 1% of Americans know who Rothblatt is. Schwab might be a little higher. Soros is probably flirting with 25% name recognition.

That said, my major problem with "muh 1%" is that they're not ideologically united or involved in some kind of conspiracy. The only thing that unites them is "they made more money than you."

I'm not prepared to fault people just for that. I'll stick to individuals, or at least discrete industries or racial groups.
