I know that's a joke video, but I'm curious whether or not the sanctions will end up on the balance working in Russia's favor?

Russians have been bemoaning for years that nothing is made in Russia anymore.

I wonder that as well. The sanctions will still probably hurt, but I know Russia's been planning for this for years.

A few decades ago, Russia would use US dollars in 97% of it's international trade, but in 2020 was down to just 46%. Plus Russia and China have been developing a SWIFT alternative, so Russia can still make international monetary trades.

Culturally, I wonder what the impact will be as well. I'd imagine not having corrupt corporations like McDonalds and Pornhub preying on their populace will only be a positive influence.
