Ppl just get locked up in federal confinement facilities now, like the Jan 6 peeps.

Save money, no need to send anyone anywhere, they can be mistreated right here at home, and the American ppl are absolutely ok with this..

Two U.S. Senators this week introduced a bill to provide tech companies cover via legislation that could make it possible for Congress to “legalize” censorship and criminalize First Amendment rights to freedom of speech.

This seems a little hyperbolic. I can't find any verification. The bill is S3737 but the text is not yet available.

Hmm...yeah it does appear like the author is connecting the Biden admin request for data with the S3737, but as you say, there doesn't appear to be much evidence that is the case, thanks for the link

The authors do say "could" not "would". I agree with where their argument is going but it needs more details.

Establishing the government as the sole arbitrator and source for truth is Owellian and I can see where it could easily lead to outright violations of freedom of speech.
