How good is the self-driving technology for big rigs? Clearly, with Waymo looking to keep their driverless car crashes secret the tech doesn't seem to be completely safe yet. And without some big bribes to push driverless vehicles onto the roads, an automated 40+ ton machine won't be accepted anytime soon.

back in the day, people thought that if god had meant for man to fly that god would have given us wings.

and then later on military leaders said that there was no commercial application for the airplane.

and then later on bill gates thought that 640k was more than enough memory for personal computers.

when the push button telephones were released, people didnt like them and preferred to spin the rotary dial and hear the clicking noises.

keep in mind that the average man really doesnt know what technology has already been developed behind the scenes.

the automated trucks might have already been developed that operate absolutely flawlessly.

never underestimate the future.
