The most important thing is the timing, not whether or not she made the right market call although I didn't really pay much attention to that.

The article makes it sound like she sold AFTER the announcement.

Insider trading would be information gained from work. Like she sat on a SEC joint committee, and she made the sale weeks before the merger was announced.

She made the sale with the knowledge that everyone else had.

They are saying same day. Like they announced it. Then she sold. I respect you and your posts a lot. You are one of my favorite posters.

You write with great insight most days. I'm not sure today is that day. It appears, based on the article, the sale was made after the announcement.
