Sounds like he is aiming for the White House in 2024. He might pull it off.

too pro israel for me to vote for but I do agree it's either him or trump likely to win.

They need to become running mates. Make Mike Pence pay for his betrayal of Trump. And Trump's support of Israel is why he deserves to be President for Life.

Trump couldn't beat Biden, DeSantis has a better shot without him.

I doubt reasonable people take DeSantis seriously, and many see him as one of the "radical-right" corporate shock jock puppets who would be worse than Trump. He already worsens international relations by promoting Israel's abuses. He would increase income inequality and would lead the US into WWIII.

I haven't poked my head in regular conservative subs in a bit, but there was a lot of support for DeSantis. Maybe that's changed. Which Republican do you think will become President?

Which Republican do you think will become President?

Oddly enough - Biden and McConnel and the GOP actually get along rather well, and one could argue that Biden has been a Republican candidate, though in the Eisenhower/Reagan context. He'll likely be re-elected as the next 'Republican' President, unless he steps down.

This is the latest list of potential GOP candidates for '24: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/11/13/top-10-gop-presidential-candidates-2024-ranked/

All of those clowns will likley run, but I think Ted Cruz is the most experienced, clever, and relatable of the lot. The GOP would do well not to pic someone who is too 'radical', or alternatively too unknown re. experience on the Hill, and Ted fits in that middle ground. He's certainly extreme-right, but he knows how to speak as though he's not so extreme. He would continue to fuck over the 99%, however, as would Mike Pompeo and Marco Rubio, who also stand a chance. Perhaps Jeb Bush will return.

Although it's possible he will step down, I don't see how Biden has any shot at winning. The American people want someone different because things aren't going that fantastic. Which isn't totally Biden's fault but doesn't really matter.

He's not generally liked here in Texas. https://www.everythinglubbock.com/news/national/ted-cruz-jokes-cancun-is-much-nicer-than-cabo-after-ca-gov-newsom-goes-on-vacation/

To me, this feels like the lead up to the 2000 election when George W. Bush was in the catbird seat. I think the coming election is DeSantis' to lose. We'll see how big his war chest gets.

Yep - he has that kind of major donor access via the party, and is a worthy investment for Big corp and the .01%, even if he doesn't win. He'll have no trouble raising money, even against Trump, especially against Trump.

That election was rigged and you fucking know it. So were the primaries. Billionaires could buy Bernie and did. His silence was for sale.
