It’s a very well known fact amongst us concealed carry permit holders that when in a conflict, our guns are for suicide purposes only...

Well that, and also for opening stubborn pickle jars.

if kyle rittenhouse gets sent to jail or if he doesnt get sent to jail, there will be blood and fire in the streets.

prepare for war, it is around the corner.

this could launch a hand to hand battle that will rage around the globe.

i am excited.

Simmer down. If Rittenhouse is rightfully acquitted (which is no sure thing), yes, the left will riot. But they'll burn down their own neighborhoods, like they did before.

that will rage around the globe

The US, maybe. The rest of the globe will react in bemusement at best.

We might, but I doubt Rittenhouse will be the tipping point. Agree to disagree though.

they did that before for the george floyd thing and before for rodney king, they know there might be chimpouts, that doesn't always mean world war tho.

When was ww3? Also things are different now and everyone is extra cautious due to the amount of nukes around the world.

[–]humancorpse 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

no offense, but you really do think like children.. i mean, seriously... you just said that there are nukes around the world, right? ok.. now all it takes is the launching of ONE of them... and god forbid we actually launch the second warhead... oh my... now it is that much easier to launch the third..

ww3 will be over in an hour, for example... and then all of the communications grids will be knocked out... no more gasoline... no more cars... no more food.. no more walmart..

welcome to world war four.

cannibalism will be a thing.

when we get to that stage, there is no way to turn back the clock..

yet everybody pretends that ww4 cant really happen.

you might be surprised.

I think you should take a couple days off from the internet. I've been there myself so I can see that you're getting a little crazy. Stay away from the apocalyptic movies too.

Nukes are just big bombs, plus a whole fuckton are going to fail. Imagine launching 1960s rockets tipped with 1960s warheads. Sixty year old rockets. Nuclear deterrence is a bluff, any country deploying them en masse is also going to inevitably dirty bomb the hell out of itself since the failure rate is going to be non-zero. I would assume a nuclear detonation would not occur and it'd just spread uranium everywhere when the rocket exploded.

Please go away

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I don't think nukes exist or that would have happened by now. They do have a lot of big bombs though that are just incendiary.

[–]IkeConn 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

All that law school with all those years of practice and this is the lame shit he comes up with.

[–]BravoVictor 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Maybe he's trying to purposefully throw the case because he's been ordered to prosecute by the DA for political reasons, but knows the case is bullshit?

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

and it seems counterintuitive but maybe soros wants rittenhouse to be acquitted, he doesn't really matter, but they want black people to riot in order to further divide and conquer us, too many white people and BLM have been allying lately due to the vaccine mandates which both are against.

[–]IkeConn 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So malicious compliance.

This is not a key part of the closing statement. Is it possible that the Nazi's at zerohedge.com are heavily biased toward kids misuing guns in public in order to kill and wound people? Was it as simple as 'self defense'? (Certainly not.) If the stupid prosecuter and corrupt Trumptard judge allow this trial to fail the way it has been, and thus Rittenhouse walks, this will potentially change the laws about 'stand your ground'/hunting humans, and thus make Rittenhouse more of a hero than he already is among Nazi Neanderthals, and of course set a precedent for them to openly intimidate people with their guns, leading to murders of whoever they want to kill. The US has the most idiotic gun laws, thanks to NRA lobbyists.

[–]Drewski[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You don't have to toe a party line, plenty of people on the left have admitted that Rittenhouse acted in self defense after seeing the evidence that was withheld by the mainstream media. As for 'openly intimidating' people with guns, plenty of people there were armed and as far as I can tell all the intimidation came from Rittenhouse's attackers.

Nazi's at zerohedge.com

You want to provide some context if you are going to make claims like this? And don't say the comment section, I don't even read it because it's toxic AF. I've given you the benefit of the doubt in the past, but when you make posts like this it really seems like you are not acting in good faith.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

The comments are part of an ongoing conversation that would take a while to explain properly. In short:

There is substeantial evidence that the Judge is biased in favor of Trump supporters (hence the party affiliation note), of Rittenhouse, and against the DA.

Zero Hedge is famous for its misinforation campaigns, wihch are for the benefit of the far-right-wing, and the .1% of the GOP, and against the 99%, promoting lies and anti-science disinformation that help build a fascist authoritarian narrative for idiots to follow, and therefore vote Republican or Libertarian (closet Republican)

obviously self detense, never should have gone to trial, kyle hopefully sues in civil court after

[–]Touchngo 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Good to know that Trumptards are Democrats, because that's the party the judge is part of. He just also happens to believe in the constitution and is unbiased in how he conducts hearings. Try harder next time!

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

No. Bruce Schroeder is NOT a Democrat. Moreover:

https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1458521835151269893

He's also polarizing the trial, yelling inappropriately at the DA and is in general heavily biased.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

he was appointed by a democratic governor in 83, so he's a dem.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

First: Reagan's first term was to different, we'd hardly recognize it now. Repuglicans were OK back then, and there was a lot of work across the aisle. Back then, the "yellow dog Democrats" were problematic, leading to the busting of unions thereafter by the Republicans.

Second: Governors in the early 1980s were not as polarized then as they are now, and there was general support by Democrats of Republicans and Reagan &c. Lot's of work across the aisle. Today, not so much.

Third: an alarming number of baby boomers have become more right-wing with age. Many of these old people were hippies, and recently nonetheless voted for Trump. It's insane.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

lot of nostalgia for the good old days

yellow dogs going after last major union now, police unions

one of reagans only problems was working with democrats too much which led to a poor economy toward the end of his term which Poppy Bush also got blamed for.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

No - the yellow dog Democrats were the unions, who could guarantee numerous votes for Dems in the 1970s. An example today is the maga-church and other wirht-wing evangelical churches in the US, almost all of whom vote Republican. Churches have become important propaganda machines.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

religion has always been a political tool ever since it was made up by kings who used it to gain and keep power

yellow dogs just meant people that foolishly voted for a democrat for no reason other than that he is not a republican, basically they got brainwashed. You see that today of course.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Without discussing the various ways to skin a cat:

Religion existed before kings

In some parts of the South in the 1970s, the 'yellow' in yellow dog democrat was 'yellow' (a coward) who voted without having a conscience, and was a dog, faithful to only vote for one party's candidates at all costs. Repuglicans are now famous for these faithful, dumb cowards.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yeah religion probably was invented by cavemen, they would look up at the sky and see all the stars then shamans would tell them stories about it.

Yeah the yellow meant coward. Republicans do it too, the truth being that both parties are in collusion so whomever you vote for is goint to screw you, but if you do go with the lesser of evils you gotta vote for a repub. Maybe I'd say vote for a dem like Bernie if dems ever didn't rig their primaries and allow him or someone like him to run.

Frankly I think this guy is just trying to save his own skin.

He's playing to his audience rather than the court. He's saying to the left "please don't hurt me" rather than trying to get the law applied fairly.

[–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It is insane how he was allowed to tell so many lies. So much for all the claims of a based judge.

[–]BravoVictor 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Both sides are given very broad leeway in closing statements, and the judge almost never interrupts. They're allowed to say things they otherwise couldn't at any other point in the trial.

[–]jet199 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Apparently in the state law they can pretty much say what they want in their closing statements.

The defence won't object because every dumb thing the defence says they can rip into them for in their own closing statement.
