Don't the Taliban execute people for making narcotics?

This article says they're the ones who make/sell the heroin, but the same website posted another article that says they force heroin addicts to go to rehab, because it's against Islam. Couldn't find anything about executions, tho.

Side note: the second article tries to paint rehab as a bad thing, but they contradict themselves a lot, probably throw a few lies in, and still manage to make me agree with the Taliban. They're literally giving these people free food, a roof over their heads, and even medicine to wean them off heroin — how is that a bad thing? The worst thing they can come up with is that they're running out of supplies, which obviously ain't the Taliban's fault.

Yeah. Between hostilities making accurate reporting difficult, to our own media being garbage, who knows what the truth is.

It's funny though, because allowing drug production but forcing addicts into rehab is basically the direction the US political left is leaning. In most US cities, that's basically the status quo. Drugs are being legalized. "Safe injection sites" are being setup. Never in nice neighborhoods though, of course. But anyone found to be an addict is strongly encouraged to go to rehab.

But if the Taliban does it, that's terrible and horrible...

They don't even want to force people to go to rehab. They want everyone addicted to meth and heroin, so the populace is easier to control. Also, the left's form of rehab doesn't work — it wasn't designed to — it's just supposed to make rehab centers rich.

But if the Taliban does it, that's terrible and horrible...

They spent all these years bowing down to Islamic extremists before realizing they're ultra-conservative. The military industrial complex wants back in Afghanistan, so the fake news media cries about all these culture war issues. Meanwhile, the right tries to use anti-Muslim xenophobia and fearmongering about terrorism to get us back in Afghanistan. Both parties are controlled by the same people.

Agreed. Another reason why I miss Trump. Although he never had any love for the Taliban, and was willing to let the military bomb away for a time, he always seemed to see that the war was a waste of resources, and initiated the withdrawal.

I wonder how long until we invade someone else. After our 20 year stay in Afghanistan, I imagine they'll have to wait for at least a decade for the public to be forget the last clusterfuck and be numb enough to go again.
