Where I live it isn't mandatory.

I know. Lucky you. Now imagine if the mob was whipped up into a frenzy by propaganda and insisted you all take an experimental vaccination - and censored all actual science and healthy skepticism.

I know, right?

Clown world, where the capitalists turn commie and the commies turn capitalist.

Now that (((they))) have taken over the world, Asia will again become the center of power.

Well, not really. There is the second Foundation. I'm not going to say any more on the topic however.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

I take it you're not talking about the new Foundation TV show based on the classic novel. I was keen to see it but now it's had mixed reviews.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

It started off good, then had a couple "meh" episodes, then some good episodes where they started going off script, and then they made a wild turn into some unimaginable tangent that has little to do with the author's original work.

But yes, that is where the "Second Foundation" term comes from. It's been coined, so I use it, although it as a phenomenon, has nothing to do with anybody's science fiction writings.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I wished I'd known about the original book back when I read more.

I don't know if you're recommending it or not, but I think I'll try to watch it at some point because my knowledge of it in any media is basically zero.

Feel free to link me to Second Foundation stuff if you like, and/or nutshell explain briefly why you don't want to delve into it.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

There is no link nor anything written about the actual "Second Foundation". But you can give them your phone number telepathically. If you are capable of telepathy. If you like, if you dare... Either way, I would recommend reading the books A LOT MORE than the TV thing.

I'd assumed you were alluding to something not found at.

No, I don't do telepathy, otherwise I'd have a hot girlfriend again.

It reminds me of how the democrats used to be the "racist" party and republicans were the party of abe lincoln.

I think a switch might happen again soon. I just saw Rubio say:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) will call for Republicans to break up with Big Business when he addresses the National Conservatism Conference on Monday, Axios has learned.

I wouldn't mind it that much. I would take the vaccine tomorrow if I were to get at least a hundred dollars for it. Not having access to free healthcare and having to take loans to go to university is a much bigger deal for me.

Suffering for the rest of your life, if you survive, is worth that little?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I think the Sinovax is probably an actual vaccine. Maybe.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Is any vaccine legit?

They've been immune from lawsuits for some time now.

The theory isn't awful, to include viral material in order to prime the immune system against it. The fundamental question remains, are viruses truly disease-causing?

The short answer is NO, since Pasteur himself said, on his death bed, "The microbe theory of medicine is false. The Terrain theory is the correct one. The terrain determines whether a disease will happen, not any microbe".

But whatever. I can't say for sure that a well-made vaccine is harmful. Most vaccines ARE harmful, there is no getting around that, but maybe the Sinovax is a relatively harmless one. After all the world dominators want the Chinese to be in top shape for their world takeover.

So yeah your point is definitely valid, although it may well be that the Sinovax only riles the immune system against general covid-19-like viruses, making it orders of magnitude less harmful than the mRNA ones.

There are other theories too. Perhaps this whole virus/vaccine thing is an extremely complex faith-based scientism myth/scam invented with specialists so focused they can't see the big picture and the missing foundational pieces.

The sickness may be nutrition and/or health (or lack thereof) based symptoms rather than from a black humour.

Terrain theory.

"Suffering for the rest of your life" More like for a day or two with a slight fever. I trust my country's ministry of healthcare.
