A significant part of the news feed is still taken up with the horse race, as though there is no difference between elections now and elections pre-2020. "The Republicans Ready to Take Virginia", etc, etc. These stories are as present on the channels for the "alt-right" (e.g. Breitbart) as anywhere else.
But two big questions remain. The first one is in two parts: Did the Democrats rig the 2020 election? I would hardly say that this idea has gone away; many many people are convinced they did, both through media manipulation, and then directly using the over-representation of democratic partisans within the government bodies tasked with "ensuring fair elections". Part two of that question is if they did rig the national election, why should the public have any faith at all in the process of any election from here on, particularly in areas like the part of Virginia sitting right on the border of DC, as blue an area as any Democrat could dream up? That's question one. Why have any faith that these elections have any basis anymore in those voting rather than those counting the votes?
The second question is about RINOs. Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney are just two faces of a potent force within the Republican Party that has far less in common with the Republican base - who have moved Libertarian - than they have with establishment Democrats. It's beyond obvious at this point that government power is the goal; they care only who wields that power, NOT that the power be substantially dismantled, which is what the Republican base is moving toward. RINOs are not interested in individual freedom; they are interested in which "side" gets to wield the ring of corporate despotism.
Saidit is hardly a representative sample of what the country as a whole thinks, but I'm curious, within this group, how many think these elections actually offer any chance of yielding representatives who actually represent the crowds yelling "Let's Go Brandon!"? I don't see it. It seems like more of the same old game at this point - string pullers manipulating partisans into "votes" which are fundamentally meaningless.
