The government doesn’t collect dossiers on everyone. That would be creepy fascism! Instead, Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple create the dossiers under the guise of doing business, (“we need to personalize advertising for YOU! You don’t want irrelevant ads, do you?”)
And the government has access to all that data and all those online interactions and can project its will through the corporations to achieve fascism under the guise of runaway capitalism or unregulated markets.
