Why such a massive push out of nowhere to nudge people in online comments sections into praising the Taliban?

This has been literally everywhere, on all social media this past weekend. Out of nowhere. Who had any praise for the Taliban even a week ago?

This feels like entrapment.

It's just useless western failures who love moaning they have it worse in the whole world find it hard to nurse their victim complex when a whole country is obviously suffering severe violence and oppression they could only imagine.

Leftist shills are trying to radicalize the right into being more like them, only with traditionalist morals. They do this because they know originally their false accusations and strawmans were absurd and want to make them true. And since people are blind group thinkers it works amazingly. In just a year they've managed to completely change the definition of "conservative" from conserving the rights and ideals of America to "conserving traditional values" with government force the exact same way woketards do. The result is values which are very similar to these radical Muslim sects. I predict an en-masse conversion of conservatives-turned-fascist to Islam in the coming decades, unless something changes again, which hopefully it does or we're screwed.

We shouldn't have been in afganistan in the first place. We spent trillions and thousands of lives were lost and the fucking place falls in just a few days. We keep being told how big and bad the Taliban are, yet our own ZOG is causing most of the problems in the world today. The Taliban shouldn't be praised by any means, but there are greater evils here on the homefront.

Even in Afghanistan they aren't necessarily the greater evil.

Paedophilia actually went up under the occupation, the Taliban banned it.

Similarly the Taliban were near immune to corruption while the previous administration were carrying suitcases full of dollars out of the country.

Girls were sold to the highest bidders by their families to get a dowry for their sons during the occupation, now they are given to soldiers. It's no different from the girl's point of view. Owned by family or owned by the state.

There are 70k Taliban and 30 million Afghans, they aren't all that big either.

Praising the Taliban is currently protected by the first amendment. When the first amendment falls, I will be in Mexico and I will continue to speak freely.

/u/PatsyStone isn't against free speech, and makes an excellent point. One place where you won't have your free speech protected is Mexico, especially if drug cartels don't like what you say.

Or in Afghanistan with the Taliban ruling.

[–]skeech 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

you do not have freedom of speech in mexico.. if you say something in mexico, and the mafia doesnt like what you are saying... they may speak to you first... if they do, you best listen.. or you will die.

facts.

Look at the guy on this thread trying to make "American Taliban" happen as slang for Trump supporters. Something is being set up here.

Those pious Trump supporters, well known for covering their flesh and avoiding alcohol.

Not just that, a lot of them are falling for stuff like this and have been since about the time of the George Floyd riots. It's probably a plot to radicalize the right into supporting totalitarianism too so the government has near-absolute power no matter who gets elected.

It's a grey area, i mean i wouldn't want to be associated with either fanatical movements, one being religious and the other deviancy. The world would be better without.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if the the jerks who make these pathetic memes, along with the gravy seals (American Taliban), moved to Afghanistan?

    [–]chadwickofwv 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (5 children)

Yes, I fully support your permanent move to Afganistan.

Sorry if I caused offense, AXXA.

I am worried about the religious right-wing portion of the US.

Is "American Taliban" those who stole Democracy?

I think when the Supreme Court voted along party lines to elect G W Bush, who won fewer votes than Al Gore, it was pretty clear that american democracy had been gamed.

After Trump was elected in 2016 with fewer votes than Clinton, his supreme court has secured gerrymandering and inactionable, protecting those in power in the States from democracy.

But you're flare is republican party: Surely your people are the ones stealing democracy?

Is "American Taliban" those who seek to force compliance with masks and injections?

      No, that's simply saving lives.

Is "American Taliban" those who silenced the freedom of expression of patriots but still give voice to the Taliban?

You're going to have to clue me in here. Which patriots have had their freedom of expression silenced?

No, it's the Taliban who make the little boys dress up as girls and dance for them.

You're right, it's the normal Afghans who do that.

          The Taliban banned it.

            Okay.

I know enough about some of those christian cults that some people might be upset by people reading to their kids who are wearing clothes that are different from their expectations.

We've come to expect a lot of intolerance, and frankly, hatred from christians. The rest of us wonder that Jesus' teachings seem to be about love and not hatred, but that's a mote that they have to bridge.

But what I'm not understanding is what this has to do with the taliban.

Can someone clue me in here?
